Holiday Giving Makes Comprehensive, Tutoring/Mentoring Possible

If you've read my blog in the past you can see that I write about ways to connect youth and volunteers in site based tutor/mentor programs, such as the Cabrini Connections program that I've led since 1993. I hope you'll visit this site and see images of kids and volunteers who have connected only because an orchestra of donors and volunteers have created the opportunity.
You'll also see that I've created an innovative web based information and collaboration strategy that aims to help programs like Cabrini Connections be operating in every poverty neighborhood of Chicago.
Many of my messages talk about the challenges non profits face in finding consistent funds to maintain on-going relationships between kids, volunteers and programs. My efforts are to enlist Champions from every industry who will mobilize volunteers and donors to help tutor/mentor programs grow in all parts of Chicago, not just in one or two neighborhoods.
The last 4 weeks of every year are the biggest fund raising weeks on the calendar. This is when many people are counting their blessings and looking for places to share the gifts they've been given with others who are less fortunate. I hope that from reading my blog you'll think that Cabrini Connections and the Tutor/Mentor Connection deserve your support. Here's a donation link that you can use to send a donation. You can also mail donations to Cabrini Connections, Tutor/Mentor Connection, at 800 W. Huron, Chicago, Ill. 60622. Our FEIN is 36-3893431.
However, if you don't want to support us, I hope you'll look in the Program Locator or Chicago Program Links, and pick one or more other programs for your charitable donation. Finally, I hope you'll share this message with others so that thousands of generous people are making donations to volunteer-based tutor/mentor programs this year.
If you visit web sites of tutor/mentor programs, you'll see many people saying "thank you" for making these connections possible. I thank you, too.
